Ballet

Classical Ballet is an exciting and inspiring form of dance. The school follows the R.A.D. (Royal Academy of Dance) syllabus which is the largest teaching and examining organisation in the world.

Classes are currently available from Nursery class through to Advanced Level. There is also an Adult Ballet class that runs on a Monday at 8 – 9pm at Shenley Leisure Centre.

Our Nursery class is a fun, and active class primarily for children over 3 years of age. We encourage the children to develop a sense of imagery, setting a simple scenario for each exercise to assist with their memory to make it more enjoyable for them. We run 2 Nursery Classes at Shenley Leisure Centre on Wednesday and Thursday at 1.30 – 2.15pm and also a class at Lovat Hall in Newport Pagnell on Monday at 3.40 – 4.20pm.

As the children progress through the grades, performance and technique begin develop as maturity and confidence grows.

Uniform requirements in our ballet classes comply with the R.A.D. uniform.
Nursery, Pre-Primary and Primary – Pink short sleeved leotard, pink wrap skirt, pink leather ballet shoes and ballet socks.
Grade 1 & 2 – Pink sleeveless regulatory leotard, with pink socks and pink leather ballet shoes.
Grade 3 – 8 - Navy Blue leotard with pink ballet tights and pink leather ballet shoes. Hair in a bun.
Major Ballet Classes – Any colour leotard with pink ballet tights and ballet shoes. Hair in a bun
